Virtual Images Unlimited claims to have developed design and printing methods that eliminates the usual visual image flip in 3D printed items. Their 3D images don’t have the ugly jump that occurs in usual 3D print products when the angle of view changes. The technology is very scalable and can be used on 3D lenticulars of any size.
The company has also developed a product that merges 3D executions with high-definition footage. Video quality is usually much worse when combined with these types of 3D effects.
Dave Corey, VP of Sales for VIU, told us:
“This new development will be very effective for film promotions – imagine a large 3D image from the film and five animated scenes from the movie in one poster.”
