Google Vanity Ring counts popularity

Google_Vanity_Ring.jpgOver at the University of the Arts Berlin, Markus Kison has come up with a Google vanity ring. Set it up with your name and it will track your Google popularity. The prototype is very bling, if only because of its bulk. The device has a docking station which allows a recharge of the batteries and that all important “how important am I today?” update from the Google databases. Check out the home video below.

Markus tells us:

The VanityRing doesn’t have a jewel, instead it shows the number of hits one gets, when he searches Google for the name of the person who wears it, a more adequate value in our time… the ring will change its display to show the personal “attention carats”.
