We featured Monstervision’s interactive projection innovations a few months ago but we’re only just beginning to see executions that are based on some sort of location insight and brand strategy rather than using the innovation for innovation’s sake. Travelzoo is the web travel deals outfit behind an installation at Las Vegas Airport which features their latest offers live on screen in an interactive one armed bandit projection.

Erik Qualman, Travelzoo Head of Marketing North America tells us:

“The high impact and large scale of the wall projections and plasma screens are not only memorable for travellers who pass by but it gives them a chance to directly interact with the brand.”

The campaign shows real time travel deals currently featured on Travelzoo’s Web site as travellers walk past. In one execution, a virtual slot machine spins up travel deals when consumers interact with it. In another, travellers star in their own ad as they are projected into two huge interactive plasma screens.
