Monster Media’s interactive advertising system combines projected images with motion sensors so that everyone passing by can interact with the video. Consumers control the ads using body movements across the projected screen.
The work promotes the Lexus RX 350 luxury SUV in New York City, Los Angeles and San Francisco store fronts. A car collision appears to crash through the window on a video display and consumers can “undo” them by interacting with the ads using body movement. In the online version of the campaign, visitors can undo simulated damage to an RX 350 SUV with a click of a mouse.
The technology can do a lot more than just remotely stop and rewind a video. Take a look at the video in our piece back in November 2006 to see how far the interaction can go.
